Profile changes
By checking your M. Pan (Meter Point Administration Number) you can discover your "Profile Class".
The Profile Class is a two digit number and makes up the first two digits of the M. Pan.
The Profile Class on which you are operating will have a direct impact on the standing charge made as well as influencing your charges on MD (Maximum demand).
Historically many sites where meters were present were larger than they currently are and as such the profile class may be incorrect. Ensuring that the correct profile class is in place for your installation is a vital part of your efforts to minimise costs for the business. Sites which are metered on a higher profile than needed are costing more than they should and this can be easily rectified.
The first two digits of a full MPAN reflect its profile class.
