Exciting News! Elavon Simplifies Merchant Pricing for a Seamless Experience

Both Nationwide Energy Consultants & Elavon are committed to continually enhancing customer service to provide you with the best possible experience. We are thrilled to share some exciting news regarding a significant improvement to Elavon’s pricing structure.

In ongoing efforts to simplify and streamline, Elavon has made strategic updates to their pricing model for merchants by removing the non-secure pricing matrix, halving the previous 42 card categories to 21 which covers all secure card transactions. Secure transactions are:-

• Contactless
• Chip & PIN
• 3D Secure – relying on a password or code

More importantly, it means that rather than pay a non-secure premium which typically adds 0.5% to transaction charges they calculate a higher risk loading based on the transactions of that pass through that merchants account. This “high risk loading” reflects the percentage of the customers business which is:-

• Non-secure.
• Reflects the extent to which refunds and charge backs feature in the merchants transactions.

The great news is that because our customers are hospitality businesses they attract a really low risk of non-secure and chargebacks/refunds and as such we have negotiated with Elavon that they will have a loading on 0.1%.

Whilst the move from non-secure to high risk loading isn’t exclusive to Elavon our 0.1% is a great offer to customers.
